An Analysis Of The Current Situation Of Chinese Realistic Oil Painting In The Image Era

The pursuit of reappearance in European art has become an opportunity for the birth of photography.The birth of photography in the 19 th century opened the door to the era of Western image,and great changes have taken place in the field of western visual art: on the one hand,traditional realistic painting is gradually marginalized in the pattern of modern art;on the other hand,the breaking of the boundary between image and painting has greatly expanded the form of visual art.However,due to the heterogeneity of Chinese and Western culture,the development of Chinese and Western art is quite different.When the west is exploring modern art,the introduction of photography has promoted the Chinese people’s visual turn and the establishment of realistic aesthetic concept.After the defeat of the Sino Japanese War of 1894-1895,China’s modern art education system was gradually established,which became the kindling of the development of realistic painting in China.Therefore,the practice of realistic oil painting in China was slowly developed and formed a unique national appearance.With the reform and opening up,China has entered the image era,realistic painting in the new historical context presents two major directions of development: on the one hand,adhere to the traditional oil painters,on the basis of the achievements they have made,further trace to the European traditional oil painting,promote the purification of Chinese realistic oil painting language,and become the main force to promote the development of Chinese realistic oil painting.On the other hand,under the influence of western modern art concept and image culture,realistic oil painting is advancing to modernization and presents a diversified outlook,which injects fresh blood into Chinese realistic oil painting.The main body of this paper expounds from three aspects: the main structure in the diversified exploration,the diversified realistic painting,and the realistic oil painting in the image era from the national art exhibition in the new century,so that we can more clearly understand the general outline and development status of Chinese realistic oil painting after entering the image era.And then it enlightens realistic painters to find their own creative ideas and methods in the big cultural framework.
