A Report On The C-E Translation Of Research On China—ASEAN Regional Economic Integration(Excerpts) Guided By Eco-translatology

Currently,economic globalization has become the main trend of world economic development.Under the current international situation,most countries in the world are seizing the opportunities in economic cooperation,learning from each other and seeking development.The book Research on China-ASEAN Regional Economic Integration is a political and economic research text.It elaborates the development course and future prospects for China-ASEAN regional economic integration and provides new ideas of contemporary economic development.In the context of economic globalization,the translation of successful regional economic development models can greatly promote the reference and cooperation among economies,and is of great significance of promoting economic and social development.From the perspective of eco-translatology studies,this translation report summarizes the Chinese-English translation techniques of political and economic texts by taking Research on China-ASEAN Regional Economic Integration as an example.Based on Darwin’s theory,it first introduced the ecological concept into the field of translation studies,believing that translation is a process of transformation through “selection” and“adaptation”.Based on the characteristics of concise and objective words,strong internal logic,and the use of culture-loaded words and cultural metaphors in the selected source text,this paper argues that political and economic texts should be appropriately selected and adapted in the process of translation on the premise of paying attention to language,culture,communication and other important factors,so that the target language readers can understand the concept and development model of “regional economic integration”more clearly,and realize the translation purpose.In the linguistic dimension,the translator adopts addition,omission,semantic shift and sentence reconstruction to solve the problem in lexical,syntactical and textual level.In the culture dimension,the translator employs imitation,free translation and shift in cultural level to solve the problem of the translation of linguistic culture-loaded words and social culture-loaded words.In the communication dimension,the translator uses active-passive voices conversion and paraphrase to realize the communicative intention of the source text and increase the readability and acceptability of the target text.The purpose of this report is to explore the application of eco-translatology in the translation of political and economic texts into English,and to summarize appropriate translation methods and techniques based on the principle of three-dimensional transformation,so as to provide some references for the translation of political and economic texts.
