During the Xia,Shang and Zhou Dynasties, the Chaohu Lake area centered on the Chaohu Lake Basin was one of the most important cultural areas in the Jianghuai area of Anhui. It has rich cultural connotations and presents the Huaiyi civilization with local characteristics, and has become the object of research by many scholars. In the course of decades of research, due to its complex settlement patterns and distinct settlement levels, the cultural features of the Xia,Shang and Zhou dynasties around Chaohu Lake are not very clear. In recent years, with the increase of archaeological excavations and research work in conjunction with infrastructure,a wealth of archaeological data has been accumulated for this period in the area.Based on stratigraphy, this article analyzes the cultural factors of the archaeological remains based on the existing typological analysis and research results, and attempts to build a staged framework for the area around Chaohu Lake during the Xia,Shang and Zhou Dynasties;secondly,it studies the settlement morphology Using aerial photography,Arc GIS and other software and technologies to observe the macro-and micro-distribution of pier-type sites in the Chaohu area during the Xia,Shang and Zhou dynasties, and make a preliminary classification of different settlements;finally, combined with archaeological excavations,Documents and other data analyze the composition of the cultural factors of each ethnic group in the Xia,Shang and Zhou dynasties in the Chaohu area, and explore the means of transmission and the reasons for the changes in the interaction between ethnic groups. This article is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly introduces the background of the topic, the purpose and significance of the research, the status quo of related research, the method of this article, and the scope of time and space. The second chapter sorts out the archaeological remains that have been excavated and publicly published in the Chaohu Lake area and the newly excavated and investigated archaeological remains in recent years.According to the rivers entering the lake along the Chaohu Lake, they are divided into three parts: Paihe and Paihe on the west bank of Chaohu Lake.Fengle River—Hangbu River Basin;Nanfei River—Dianbu River Basin on the north bank of Chaohu Lake;parts of the basins on the east and south banks of Chaohu Lake and other areas.Chapter Three is based on the theories and methods of settlement morphology research, using Arc GIS and other software and tools to study the changes of settlement morphology in the region. From a macro point of view, the ancestors of the Xia,Shang and Zhou dynasties around Chaohu Lake were more inclined to choose areas with relatively low altitudes for their lives, and the repetition rate of site use was low,and the number of years did not exceed the Qin and Han dynasties; The analysis of site selection shows that the slope of the pier-type site is relatively low whether it is a branch or the site itself. In addition, the overall orientation shows a "centripetality" facing Chaohu Lake. After analyzing the clustering phenomenon and the nature of the settlements in the Xia,Shang and Zhou dynasties in the area around Chaohu Lake,it was concluded that the clustering phenomenon is widespread, and there are multiple settlement groups in each basin, and each The ruins are all composed of piers of different sizes, and a smaller settlement group is included in the cluster of the ruins;in a specific settlement site. There are also different functional zones, which in general form a multi-level networked settlement structure.Chapter 4 combines the typological staging of archaeological culture and related historical documents to discuss the cultural interaction in the area around Chaohu during the Xia,Shang and Zhou Dynasties. On the whole,in the Xia culture period, foreign cultural factors are only a small part, and the bulk is still the indigenous culture of the Jianghuai area of Anhui with distinctive regional characteristics;during the Shang culture period, the influence of the Shang culture on the Chaohu area is by no means grounded during the Xia Dynasty.,Exchanges sporadically, but almost reached the point where it interfered with the development of aboriginal civilization and was about to replace it;by the Western Zhou Dynasty, the ethnic groups in the Chaohu area had completely become part of the ethnic group in the Jianghuai area of Anhui.Chapter 5 is the conclusion. While summarizing the above discussion,it also reflects on the deficiencies in the overall structure and content of this article, and expounds the possible future research directions. The ultimate goal of this article is to enrich the archaeological work in the subdivision of Chaohu Lake, hoping to play a minor role in the historical construction of the Jianghuai area in Anhui and even the Lianghuai area.
