A Study On The Concept Of Loyalty And Filial Piety In Japanese Yangmingism

The concept of loyalty and filial piety is a very important part of Japanese Yangmingism.Although its ideological source comes from the Chinese Confucian ethics,it is rooted in the cultural soil of Yamato nation.It is constantly developed and inherited in the actual needs of Japanese society,and finally forms a unique ethical thought system with Japanese characteristics.Since modern times,the loyalty and filial piety thought of Japanese Yangmingism has not only become the ethical basis for carrying out the reform,but also as the cultural support,forming the endogenous power to promote the rapid development of modernization in Japan.Its importance is self-evident.In order to carry out a more systematic study of the concept of loyalty and filial piety in Japanese Yangmingism,this paper mainly analyzes from four parts.First of all,starting from the ideological origin of the concept of loyalty and filial piety in Yangming,this paper investigates the influence of the Chinese Confucian classics filial piety,the relevant thoughts in Yangming and the Japanese native thinking consciousness on the formation of the concept of loyalty and filial piety in Yangming.Secondly,taking time as the axis,combing the loyalty and filial piety thoughts of three main Yangming scholars,Toju Nakae,Helhachiro Oshio and Yoshida Songyin,highlighting the internal development logic from the emphasis on "filial piety" to the "unity of loyalty and filial piety" in the loyalty and filial piety thoughts of Japanese Yangming scholars.Thirdly,it generalizes the uniqueness of Japanese Yangming school from the four dimensions of religiousness,gratitude consciousness,common people and the unity of loyalty and filial piety,so as to further deepen the understanding of Japanese Yangming school’s loyalty and filial piety.Finally,on the basis of the above content,this paper analyzes the positive influence of the concept of loyalty and filial piety of Japanese Yangming school on the Japanese national spirit,national morality,corporate culture,modernization process and other fields,and then fully realizes the significance of the concept of loyalty and filial piety of Japanese Yangming school for the whole Japanese people and country.In a word,without "loyalty and filial piety",there would be no ethics and characteristics of Yamato,and the history of Japan could not be explained.A thorough study of the loyalty and filial piety of Japanese Yangming school is of great benefit to the understanding of Japan’s politics,economy,culture and other aspects.
