Research On Emotional Expression Of Modern Animal Sculpture

Animal sculpture has always been an important subject in sculpture art,whether it was used as tomb sculpture in ancient times,or today as an outdoor public art or as a sculptor’s personal shelf creation,they play an important role.Animals and humans alike have rich emotions,but compared with the concealment of human emotions,animal emotions are more natural simplicity,purity,therefore,more and more sculptors are more willing to express their feelings through animals.Emotion is not only the motive force of the sculptor’s creation and the medium of his voice,but also the link between the sculptor and others and the bridge of communication between the world.The core of this paper is the emotional appeal of animal sculptors.First of all,through the analysis of the works and creative background of the famous Chinese modern animal sculptors,the discussion of their formal language features,interspersed with the famous foreign sculpture works,and the comparative analysis,sort out the similarities and differences in animal sculpture between China and the west.Secondly,the relationship between art form and emotional expression is discussed,and the essence of artistic creation is emotional expression.Finally,through a comprehensive analysis of the creation of modern animal sculpture,this paper expounds the influence of the background of the times and traditional culture on the emotional expression of animal sculpture,and how the sculptor conveys his personal feelings and cultural thinking through animal images.
