With the integration trend of language education and technology, digital language learning is bound to flourish in the new environment.Digital language learning environment is of great importance to optimize language teaching process, improve language teaching effect and advance language teaching innovation.Task-based Language Learning in a Real-World Digital Environment is based on the European Digital Kitchen project, which explains how to build a real-world digital language learning environment. The book was published in 2017.There is no Chinese translation yet.The author selects the whole book with more than 90,000 words as the source text of this translation practice, and summarizes the translation strategies applicable to this academic text, aiming at providing some references for academic translation studies. Before the translation, the author analyzes the source language with the text type theory and finds that the source language falls into academic text category, which mainly emphasizes academic faithfulness and academic communication intention.Communicative translation theory focuses on authenticity and communicative purpose. In view of this, the report selects the communicative translation theory to guide the translation practice,so as to achieve the purpose of academic information exchange and academic communication. After the translation, the author reviews the guidance of communicative translation theory on lexical, syntactic and discourse levels, and analyzes specific cases. At the lexical level, the translation strategies of word meaning extension and word conversion are adopted in order to achieve accurate and contextual translation of terms, polysemous words and abstract nouns. At the syntactic level, the translator puts forward four kinds of translation strategies to complete the translation of passive sentences, that is,converting the passive sentence into simplified passive sentence, active sentence,Chinese non-subject sentence, and Chinese judgment sentence. At the same time, the author adopts four types of translation strategies to cope with the translation of attributive clause, including proceeding, division, combination and conversion,to ensure that the target language is smooth and natural and in line with the readers’ reading habits. At the discourse level, the strategies to achieve discourse coherence are discussed from two aspects, that is,semantic coherence and logical coherence. The specific strategies can be divided into the following aspects, including lexical reiteration, embodiment of reference, supplementation of semantics, reorganization of semantics, supplementation of logical connectives and transformation of logical connectives. These strategies are employed to guarantee that the target language provides readers with a reading experience similar to that of the source language readers. On the one hand, this translation practice project can promote academic exchanges between different cultures at home and abroad. On the other hand, through this translation practice project, the translator realizes that the critical points of translating academic texts are not only to comprehensively understand the information of the source language, but also to guarantee the accuracy of the information conveyed by the target language;not only to retain the style of the source language, but also to ensure the smooth and natural language of the target language;not only to clarify the cohesion logic of the source language, but also to achieve the coherence of the target language.
