| In the study of the history of aesthetics in the pre Qin period, character aesthetics has always been an unknown field and problem for the construction of the general history of Chinese aesthetics and the special study of calligraphy aesthetics. From the perspective of the relationship between the evolution of characters’ form and the aesthetics of the times, this paper selects the Qin Jinshi characters with the most aesthetic temperament and historical influence as the research object, and analyzes the influence of Jinshi style, writing psychology and technology on the structure and style of characters. The author believes that it is the awe and piety of the engravers that strengthen the red tape process and lead the writing towards a stable, standardized and aesthetic trend. The aesthetic tendency of Qin’s inscriptions is embodied in the following aspects: pursuing the uniformity of lines, emphasizing the symmetry and squareness of structure and the unity of order in composition. The geometry and formalization of Qin characters are very important in Xiaozhuan of Qin Dynasty."Qin stele is strong, and the Han stele is very strong. There are no books of a generation that are not worthy of the people and the literature of the generation.".The aesthetic of characters must reflect the aesthetic spirit of the times. The aesthetic trend of Qin characters is the change and refinement of the aesthetic spirit in Qin era.The writing of Qin Jinshi characters is closely related to the good and brave national character of Qin Shangwu. The requirements of the standardized forms of Qin Jinshi characters such as direct drawing, square and symmetry also reflect the order rationalization of the political law of Qin Dynasty. However,it should be noted that the over aesthetic tendency of Qin inscriptions resulted in the artistic tendency of Qin inscriptions.Although it had an impact on the stereotype of later Chinese characters, the stylization of its form nearly became a "template",stifling the vitality of the art of calligraphy. On the contrary, the bamboo slips and official script of Qin Dynasty led another "free and casual" aesthetic trend, which really made calligraphy develop in the direction of art.In a word, the purpose of this study is to make a special discussion on the aesthetic problems of ancient characters, hoping to enlighten and pave the way for the concrete, individual and systematic aesthetic of Qin characters. |
