On The Art Of Painting In Balthus

The tentieth Century of the West was an age of surging artistic thoughts.In the flood of art thought,Balthus was able to create a new way.He absorbed and inherited the essence of classicist painting on the one hand.On the other hand,he used the creative perspective of distinctive personality to observe and express,thus expanding the concept and connotation of painting,making painting a traditional change.The present way has a brand-new aesthetic interest.This paper uses the method of case study and literature study to analyze the basic characteristics and the causes of the unique shape of the characters in the art works of Balthus.Firstly,it analyzes the family environment of Balthus,his learning experience,the religious belief of art teachers and his social environment The influence of various factors on his painting style;secondly,the research on the modeling characteristics of Balthus’ painting works,in-depth discussion on the general narrative characteristics,geometric form processing methods and dramatic forms of his works;thirdly,through the analysis of the connotation of his painting objects,the paper reveals the internal factors and metaphorical symbols favored by the painter for shaping the image of girls in the painting and the application of oriental elements in the works.Finally,the paper analyzes the ideological value reflected in Balthus’ works,and further explores the enlightenment and significance of his artistic creation concept to the contemporary Chinese young art creators.Through the above analysis,we can see the unique expression technique and aesthetic taste used by Balthus in his artistic creation.As a painter,the author can get new enlightenment from the study of the modeling characteristics and image connotation of Balthus’ works.
