Study On The Sima Family In The Northern Dynasty

At the end of the Eastern Jin Dynasty,the military and political situation changed and various forces struggled violently,Sima’s imperial power was seriously challenged by political struggles,first by Huan Xuan and then by Liu Yu.After Huan Xuan mastered the government through political struggle,he killed Sima Daozi,Sima Yuanxian and other powerful people.Sima Xiuzhi and Sima Guofan were able to escape and go to South Yan.After killing Huan Xuan,Liu Yu took control of the political power of the Eastern Jin Dynasty,first crowd out and persecute talented people,forced Sima Xiuzhi,Sima Guogan and others fled to the later Qin Dynasty,and Sima Chuzhi and others went into exile,later Emperor Jin ’an was killed,and Emperor Jin Gong was forced to take a Zen position,so that he was promoted to the Jin Dynasty in the Song Dynasty.After 417 years,the exiled Sima’s figures successively returned to the Northern Wei Dynasty.The time when Sima’s figures entered wei can be roughly divided into two periods:Emperor Mingyuan and Emperor Taiwu.The first chapter of this paper will start from the above two periods,respectively discussing the path and time of Sima’s surrender,and using the epitaph materials to research the missing descendants of Sima’s in "wei shu",sorting out the lineage of Sima’s family entering Northern Dynasty.After Sima’s figures entered Wei,Northern Wei granted them titles of nobillity and titles of generals,and appointed them as central or local officials.In order to win over and control this group,the rulers of northern Wei and their families chose marriage means.The situation of Sima’s family in different stages is different.The second chapter of this paper,based on historical materials,analyzes the situation of official and marriage of Sima’s family in different stages of the Northern Wei Dynasty,Eastern and Western Wei Dynasty,Northern Qi dynasty,Northern Zhou Dynasty,Sui and Tang Dynasty,and discusses the situation and social status of sima’s representative figures.Sima’s family participated in the political and military activities at that time,and had certain influence on the regime of the current dynasty because they were reused by the rulers.Sima Chuzhi,Sima Wensi,Sima Tianzhu and Sima Lingshou followed Emperor Taiwu to the Northern War,and went out of town to take charge of the local military and political affairs,it had a remarkable influence on the military and political affairs of the Northern Wei Dynasty.At the end of the Northern Wei Dynasty,it was divided into eastern and western Wei.Sima Yi went and seek refuge with Yuwen Tai,which affected the situation of the Western Wei.The third chapter of this paper explores the military and political activities of Sima’s family in the Northern Dynasty in order to study the influence of this group on the military and political activities in the Northern Dynasty...
