Study On Merleau-Ponty’s Phenomenology Of Embody

Merleau Ponty’s body phenomenology is an original interpretation of Husserl’s phenomenology.At the same time,it has its own bright spots different from Husserl’s phenomenology.As one of the most outstanding philosophers in Contemporary France,Merleau Ponty regards the body as the subject of our perceptual world in phenomenology of perception,and constructs a reflection on Descartes’ s dualism of body and mind based on body intentionality.Merleau Ponty’s thought of body phenomenology not only enriches the development of phenomenology today,but also inspires scholars studying phenomenology in France and even all over the world.Due to the philosophical tradition of rationalism,the body is forgotten in the thoughts of many philosophers,Western traditional philosophy exalts the mind（rationality）and belittles the body.This ideological tradition has formed an insurmountable gap between body and mind until Descartes reached the peak.Merleau Ponty cuts into the relationship between body and mind from a new perspective and puts forward the way to eliminate Descartes’ s dual dilemma of body and mind with body perception.This paper discusses how Merleau Ponty turned from Husserl’s phenomenology of consciousness to body phenomenology,how he solved the dilemma of Descartes’ s dualism of body and mind in a unique way,and explores Merleau Ponty’s perception,body,world and intersubjectivity,so as to seek a transcendence of the internality of cognition,In order to find the new value of his body phenomenology thought in the contemporary world.This paper mainly combs the relationship between body and mind and the formation and development of Descartes’ s dual dilemma of body and mind,and tries to resolve it from the perspective of phenomenology.Merleau Ponty’s creative interpretation of Husserl’s intentionality and the inspiration from Heidegger’s ontology all let us see the value of phenomenology in dispelling this problem;In addition,they turned from the phenomenology of consciousness to the study of Merleau Ponty’s embodied phenomenology.At the same time,it investigates the main contents of Merleau Ponty’s embodied phenomenology,discusses from the aspects of body,perception,world and intersubjectivity,shows the metaphorical and symbolic significance of body to the world,and discusses the relationship between people and the world from the perspective of body.The paper also expounds the contemporary value of Merleau Ponty’s embodied phenomenology,and discusses the two new dimensions of the development of Merleau Ponty’s embodied phenomenology;First,the value of artificial intelligence research;Second,the enlightenment to language cognitive science.
