Symbolic Expression Of Butterfly Ornamentation In Ceramic Decoration

The butterfly in nature is regarded as the symbol and representative of beauty by people because of its graceful and lightsome posture,and people can not help but have endless curiosity and reverie about the butterfly decoration.From ancient times to the present,butterfly decoration has always been the theme of continuous exploration and use.In different periods,different regions and different social backgrounds,people have their own cultural cognition of butterfly decoration.The creators also have more creative space to express the rich and colorful creative content by understanding the various forms and pattern characteristics of butterfly patterns.By studying the cultural background of butterfly decoration,this paper understands that butterfly decoration has its own distinctive characteristics of the times in different historical periods.Based on the theoretical basis of semiotics,combined with different historical backgrounds,this paper analyzes the changing characteristics of butterfly decoration and its creative performance in various artistic fields,and deeply analyzes the formal expression of butterfly decoration in ceramic decorative art.In my own artistic creation,the author takes "butterfly symbol" as the theme,uses the expression techniques and materials of ceramic decorative art to create,combines semiotic research methods with practice in the creation process,integrates the symbol expression of butterfly decoration into my own ceramic artistic creation,enriches the creation content and expression methods,and feels the charm of "butterfly decoration".It reflects the expressive significance of butterfly decoration as an artistic symbol in creation,and realizes the exploration of new forms of Chinese traditional decoration.
