As a category of Chinese classical aesthetics, the connotation of "plainness" is constantly developing and extremely complicated. It can be traced back to the "plainness" of Laozi and Zhuangzi at the earliest, and then went through three stages, namely, the poetics of the Southern Dynasties,Jiao Ran’s plainness and the poetic innovation theory of the early Song Dynasty.Mei Yaochen’s plainness poetics also drew nutrition from the above ideological resources, and creatively enriched and developed it further, gradually forming his own plainness poetics. The text is divided into four chapters:The first chapter traces the thought of Mei Yaochen’s "plainness" poetics. The confluence of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism in the Song Dynasty was the fertile ground for Mei Yaochen’s "insipid" poetics. The poetic schools and poetics that advocated"insipid" from the Southern Dynasties to the early Song Dynasty paved the way for his"insipid" poetics."insipid" is the theoretical basis and aesthetic standard of Mei Yaochen’s poetics.Mei Yaochen’s "insipid" poetics needs to be traced back to the social background, cultural background and philosophical thought.Influenced by Mei Yaochen’s Taoist thought of "harmony",Confucian thought of "neutralization" and Zen spirit of emptiness,on the one hand,he sought to escape from the misery of real life,on the other hand,as a feudal scholar,he insisted on the mission of rectifying the times and helping the people, which was reflected in his poetic practice and proposition, that is,he pursued his own characteristics based on the spirit of "poetry and beauty" and through the hard tempering of "meaning new language workers".The second chapter explains the poetic practice of Mei Yaochen’s "plainness" poetics.Mei Yaochen, the "founder" of the Song Dynasty, advocated "plainness" in poetry writing and discussion, and promoted the transformation of poetry from Tang to Song."Plain" poetic beauty,as an ideal of poetic beauty, has been established as a mature theory since the Song Dynasty. However, the Song people took "plainness" poetic realm as the ideal of poetic beauty, which began in Mei Yaochen. This paper holds that the complex and innovative connotation of poetry and Sao can only be explored through comprehensive consideration of the tradition of poetry and Sao,Han Wei Chuantong and Tang people. The third chapter analyzes the internal composition of Mei Yaochen’s "plainness"poetics. As an advocate of the poetry innovation movement in the Northern Song Dynasty,Mei Yaochen innovatively put forward his own poetic proposition and pursuit. From poetry creation, poetic language conception to poetic style pursuit,he comprehensively put forward the "plainness" poetic proposition, that is,poetry should be inspired by events, face real life and inherit the poetic spirit; To temper the conception of poetic language, although we don’t pursue carving and beauty,we should also "express new language workers";Poetry pursues"plainness",and it is difficult to write, such as at present; The profound artistic conception of"endless meaning, which can be seen in the implication",comes out lightly, reposes far and deep, and is light and tasteful, that is,deep heart and light appearance. The fourth chapter discusses the influence of Mei Yaochen’s "plainness" poetics.Based on the spirit of "beauty in poetry",Mei Yaochen pursued the "plainness" ideal of poetic beauty in plain and natural words. On the basis of eliminating the disadvantages of Xikun style,he influenced the poets’ creative ideas and pursuit of prosaic poetic beauty in Song Dynasty, and expanded the development path of Song poetry.
