In 2021,I had the opportunity to work as an intern at Lingo Ace online education company, where I conducted one-on-one teaching practice for overseas children aged 6-15.During the nearly 300 hours of teaching,I learned that the process of online one-to-one Chinese teaching is a "human-machine-human" interaction process, and teaching in a virtual classroom can be combined with multimedia resources to enrich the teaching format, but there is also a lack of live feeling and a single form of teacher-student interaction. However, there is also the problem of lacking the sense of reality and single form of interaction between teachers and students. Then, how to conduct more effective teaching interactions in one-on-one integrated Chinese classes has become a problem to be considered. In view of this, this paper selects three case studies of Chinese classes for overseas children from the interaction theory, analyzes the teaching intention and interaction types in the one-on-one teaching process, reflects on the online one-on-one Chinese classes for overseas children, finds out the problems and gives practical teaching strategies. The first chapter takes Lingo Ace as an example and explains the current teaching situation of online one-to-one comprehensive Chinese classes for beginners for overseas children. The characteristics and learning motivations of overseas children are analyzed, followed by an overview of the organization, teaching advantages and problems.Chapter 2 analyzes the interaction characteristics of the Lingo Ace platform from three levels: operational interaction, information interaction, and conceptual interaction. From this,it is found that the platform provides technical and pedagogical support for interaction and gives guarantees for teaching practice.Chapter 3 analyzes the necessity and feasibility analysis of the Lingo Ace teaching platform based on interaction theory.A comprehensive elementary Chinese class for foreign children,Chinese children, and mixed-race children was selected, and based on the lesson "Horsepower can’t eat fruit",the teaching interaction activities were designed in a targeted way,the teaching intention and interaction types were analyzed, and the teaching reflections were conducted.Chapter 4 summarizes the problems that arise from the application of interaction theory in integrated elementary Chinese classes and proposes teaching strategies that are suitable for overseas children in online one-to-one integrated elementary Chinese classes. In the process,we hope to promote the effectiveness of teaching and learning in one-on-one Chinese classes for overseas children, stimulate students’ interest in learning, and reach meaningful interactions.
