Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Ideological And Political Implementation Of College English Course ——Taking Some Colleges And Universities In Chongqing As An Example

In December 2016,General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at the National Conference on Ideological and Political Work in Colleges and Universities,pointing out that "each course must guard a section of canals and cultivate a good field of responsibility,so that all courses and ideological and political theory courses go in the same direction.Form a synergistic effect." General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important exposition pointed out that various courses and ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities must be in the same direction and the fundamental direction of collaborative construction.The fundamental purpose of curriculum ideological and political construction is to cultivate morality and cultivate socialist builders and successors.College English course,as a public basic course in colleges and universities,should dig deep into the educational resources in college English education and teaching,realize the unity of knowledge imparting and value guidance of college English course,and continuously improve its educational effect.Starting from the requirements of curriculum ideology and politics,and on the premise of inductively analyzing the uniqueness of the college English curriculum,this paper conducts a theoretical and practical research and discussion on the college English curriculum ideology and politics,and enriches the integration of the college English curriculum theory,and earnestly implements the fundamental task of morality education.This paper is oriented to practical problems,according to the specific requirements of the ideological and political curriculum for public basic courses in the "Guidelines for the Ideological and Political Construction of Colleges and Universities"（hereinafter referred to as the "Outline"）issued by the Ministry of Education,through questionnaires and interviews.There are some difficulties in the implementation of the current College English curriculum ideology and politics that mainly include the need to enhance the Chinese characteristics of the content of college English textbooks,the need to improve the ideological and political teaching ability of college English teachers,and the need to improve the ideological and political system and mechanism of college English courses.Through a deep analysis of the root causes behind it,this paper proposes corresponding solutions to these problems.First of all,it is necessary to improve the content of college English teaching materials,and integrate the content of patriotism education,traditional culture education and ideal and belief education into the teaching materials;Secondly,it is necessary to strengthen the construction of English teachers,improve the ability of English teachers to explore ideological and political elements and the ability of ideological and political teaching in courses;Finally,it is necessary to establish and improve the ideological and political system and mechanism of college English courses to provide a system for the effective development of ideological and political courses in college English courses.Therefore,in order to improve the educating effect of the college English course,colleges and universities should take moral education as the fundamental task and core goal,and English teachers must adhere to the education orientation guided by Marxist theory,carry out the infiltration of ideological and political elements,and make due contributions to the ideological and political education work in colleges and universities.
