| The translation report introduces the translation and management of terminology upon the English-Chinese translation project of Commercializing Innovation: Turning Technology Breakthroughs into Products written by Jerry Schaufeld.This report generally divides terms into economic terms,scientific terms and proper nouns according to the fields covered by the terms in this book.The report,guided by faithfulness,analyses the monosemy,accuracy and specialty of terms and presents the translation process of terms.On the other hand,this report clarifies the process of term extraction,term checking,creating a glossary and unifying terms from the perspective of terminology management.Besides,the report analyses the problems and improvement measures in the process of term management in view of technological tools and translators’ management.The purpose of this report is to summarize a glossary of this book and establish a term database,which can provide corpus for similar translation projects in the future.In addition,this translation report can also provide reference for the process of translation and management of terminology in similar translation projects. |
