This dissertation starts with the specific measures and core concepts of the reform of the ritual and music system in Huizong’s era,and then discusses the relationship between ritual and music and literature,re-examines the creation situation of the late Northern Song Dynasty to revise the stereotype of the literature history at this period.By analyzing the ways and means of the emperor and his ministers promoting the ritual and music culture,the author believes that the literature in Huizong’s era is the product of the imperial authority and the system construction,and the literary order shows a completely different expression theme and artistic style from other periods.This dissertation is divided into three chapters:Chapter 1,“The Reform of Ritual and Music and the Literati Group in Huizong’s era”.Section 1 focuses on the ritual and music system reform and projects construction in the period of Chongning,Daguan,Zhenghe,and reviews the development track of the ritual and music culture.It is proposed that the early Huizong’s attitude towards outskirts sacrifice established the general tone of the “return to the three generations”of the ritual and music reform.The law of ritual music and the emperor’s authority of“take body as the degree” closely linked the ritual and music system with the emperor’s authority.Under the guidance of the core idea of ritual and music culture“be the founder”,Huizong’s system of rituals and music achieved overall success,and at the same time completed the creation of the “Holy Monarch” image engineering.Section 2 discusses the formation process of the mainstream literati group.It is believed that the status of the central literary has been lost since the “party ban”.In order to serve the construction of ritual and music culture,a large number of writers and scholars with special talents have been appointed,and Huizong personally promoted satisfactory literati,thus forming a literati creation group centered on the emperor in the palace.Chapter 2,“The Prosperity of Ritual and Music and the Literary Atmosphere in Huizong’s era”.Section 1 takes Huizong’s “Palace Poetry” as an example,by analyzing the deviation from the tradition of palace poetry in three aspects:chronological writing,daily writing and scenery description,reveals the internal relationship between literature and ritual and music culture.Section 2 chooses the congratulation which are overflowing with the reform of ritul and music system,believes that two different styles of elegant and artistic both carry the function of propaganda of ritual and music in the form and content.Section 3 focuses on the influence of the banquet system into the official book of rites on the palace banquet activities,believes that Huizong’s banquets and poems are the expressions of the“three generations” ritual and music culture.By taking specific works as an example,the author interprets the literati’s explanation for “meeting of a thousand years” and the new relationship between the monarch and the minister.Chapter 3,“The Standardization of Literary Creation under the Order of Ritual and Music”.Section 1 takes “poetry ban” as the research object,proves that it was implemented from the end of the first year to the winter of the second year of Zhenghe.In connection with the political background and literary events at that time,Huizong’s real purpose of the ban on poetry is to rectify the style of writing,so as to fundamentally eliminate the satirical literary concept that does not conform to the order of ritual and music.Section 2 is devoted to the study of poems of monarchs and ministers in period of Zhenghe and Xuanhe.These works have achieved the subversion of the traditional palace themes by getting rid of the old imagery allusions and reshaping the style characteristics of the scenery description magnificence and craftsmanship,so as to satisfy the needs of the current political service.It also points out that this rigorous literary paradigm is the manifestation of the establishment of a specific literary order under the influence of ritual and music.
