| With the growing international strength of China,the number of Chinese learners in China is increasing.In recent years,the world Internet has developed rapidly,internet terminal equipment is more and more complete,and various language learning apps are developing rapidly.The Chinese learning apps has also made great progress.The application of Chinese learning apps is convenient,which helps International students learn Chinese in fragmented time.Especially during the epidemic,as offline classes were closed,students learned online in dormitories or homes,therefore the demand for Chinese learning apps increased greatly.Chinese learning apps has become an important auxiliary tool for overseas students to learn Chinese.Up to now,most researchers focus on their research of mobile assisted language on College English,but few researches on app are on Chinese learning.Based on the theory of mobile assisted language,this study investigated International students?use of apps for Chinese learning by questionnaire and interview.The research object is 80 international students from all over the world,who study in various universities in China.The results show that: 1)most of the international students in China can use Chinese learning apps skillfully and have obvious learning effect on their Chinese learning.Their main purpose is to consult new words and texts and solve the daily communication problems;2)International students in China can understand most of the content,but the APPs themselves have the problems of unclear interpretation of words;3)the use of apps of Chinese learning helps to enhance the interest of international students in China,and their skills of listening,speaking,reading and writing also have been improved;4)when using Chinese learning apps,international students hope to gain knowledge about Chinese characters and culture.Moreover,they can choose their mother tongue and learn multiple contents when using Chinese learning apps;5)during the epidemic,the use time and frequency of app increase for students whether staying abroad or in China.Chinese learning apps can help them solve the problem of teachers and students’ online classroom communication barriers.Mobile assisted learning language has positive significance.The Chinese learning app plays an important role in the learning and daily communication of Chinese.The international students in China have a certain dependence on the app of Chinese learning.This study suggests that students should make reasonable use of these software to improve their Chinese language level and adapt to Chinese life and learning;the Chinese learning app developers should improve the content arrangement,function presentation and operation promotion of app to meet the needs of Chinese learning for international students in China;Chinese teachers can give guidance to the use of app for international students in China so as to effectively promote their Chinese learning. |
