Oil painting creation and stage art both attach great importance to the use of light.How to draw lessons from the way and method of stage light in creation,accurately and appropriately create a picture in line with the theme situation and atmosphere,and better express the central idea of creation is a topic that the author has been thinking and studying during his postgraduate study."Cold Yong" series is to express the author’s love for grassland culture and herdsmen spirit of admiration for the theme of the works.This paper first analyzes and studies the use of light and shadow in the works of Repin and Da Vinci,and discusses its important enlightenment to their own creation.Secondly,based on the analysis of classical stage plays,this paper expounds the reference and application of stage light in personal creation,mainly from three aspects:the shaping and metaphor of the character’s psychology by light,the expression of light color and the use of light source Angle,and the creation of situational atmosphere by concentrated light.This creation attempts to use different ways of light and shadow to express emotions.By using the light method of the stage for reference,the inner space of grassland and the image of herdsmen are shaped to express the author’s feelings towards grassland.Goes through the cold dips series of stage lighting,the use of the light and shadow on the image has a more profound understanding and the understanding,feel the important value of light used in the oil painting creation,it gives the picture more visual tension and artistic expression,implements the heart to create a situation,to achieve the purpose of the light elicits emotions.
