A Study Of Claude Ewell’s Oil Painting Techniques

For more than 60 years,Claude ivel,a French painter,has devoted himself to studying and sorting out the oil painting language of Flanders,Italy and France in the 16 th and 17 th centuries,and has summed up a set of complete and clear oil painting materials and techniques.Modern oil painting is developed on the basis of classical oil painting,and ivel’s oil painting materials and techniques can effectively fill the gap in the study of traditional European classical oil painting techniques in Chinese oil painting,and explain a series of problems in oil painting creation and preservation since oil painting was introduced into China.In this paper,while re combing the material techniques of yville’s oil painting,it focuses on the scientific analysis of the material selection,production and painting steps in the material techniques of yville’s oil painting,and then focuses on the graduation work "pick up the sickle,lift the brick" to elaborate my understanding of the practice of this set of techniques,so as to provide new ideas for the future oil painting study.
