| The rise of Neo-Confucianism began with the question of how to reconstruct the Confucian value ontology.The intellectuals in Song Dynasty defended the subjective status of Confucianism and constructed a world of value that could be opposed to the study of the Buddhism,so they took the "Book of Rites·The Great Learning Chapter" as a lead to fully expound its value.This process started in Wu Zi in nothern dynasty,shaped in Zhu Xi,and reflected in Yangming.Zhu Xi and Wang Yangming’s interpretation of "The Great Learning" has become a model of classic interpretation.Those who respect Zhu take the edition of Zhu(the present edition)as the sect,and those who worship the Wang take the edition of Wang(the ancient edition)as the model.The conflict between Zhu and Wang’s thoughts then evolved into a contest between the modern and ancient editions of "The Great Learning"."Loving People" and "Educating People" as the concentrated reaction of their thoughts have become the axis of controversy.As the initiator of the "Discrimination of Loving and Educating",Yang Ming misinterpreted Zhu Zi consciously or unconsciously,in order to interpret and spread his own learning.He believed that Zhu Xi’s "Educating People" highlighted three theoretical dilemmas: one is the conflict of heteronomy and self-discipline;the second is the lack of practical aspects of cultivating the people;the third is the contradiction between the theory of learning things and learning from heart.In terms of academic theory,Yangming took the theory of "Ge Wu" as the starting point of Zhu Xi’s theoretical system,believing that Zhu Xi’s way of studying things would trigger the contradiction between the transformation of knowledge and morality,resulting in a fault between the subject’s mind and the theory of value,separating reality and application.The natural connection has caused a disorder between the metaphysical world and the physical world.The above so-called theoretical conflicts are the result of Yangming’s criticism of the "Educating People" theory based on Zhu Xi’s theory of "Ge Wu".This article takes the mentioned questions above as a logical starting point to re-examine the "Educating People and the Loving Peope".Indexed by the thought of Yangming,unearthed documents as circumstantial evidence,based on Zhu Xi’s original documents,and intercommunity of Zhu and Wang as the purpose.First,using Yangming’s thinking as an index to determine the origin of the proposition of the argument between "Educating People and Loving People" and dividing the controversy.Secondly,using underground documents such as bamboo slips from the tomb of the Chu in Guodian as evidence,it is proved that "loving" and "Educating" are used interchangeably to prove the reliability of the proposition of "Educating People" in terms of typology,and further elaborate that the two can be interchanged.Finally,based on Zhu Xi’s original canon,the relationship between "Ge Wu" and "knowledge","mind" and "reason","knowledge" and "action",The connotation is explained in detail,so as to prove the deviation of Yangming’s interpretation of Zhu Xi’s theory in academic theory,and to correct Yangming’s criticism of Zhu Xi’s "Educating People" with the idea of "Ge Wu" outwards,so as to confirm the other new ideas contained in "Educating People".The implication of self-discipline and non-contradiction,the connotation of educating the people and raising the people side by side,the ethical practice with equal emphasis on virtue,and the two-way interaction of the integration of knowing and doing and the work of learning under the realistic existentialism.Based on the above thoughts,we will focus on explaining the internal commonality and the consistency of ideological connotations between the "Loving People" and "Educating People" theories.Further on the premise of the vision of the unity of the "argument between Loving and Educating",the rethinking and reinterpretation of the historical case of it may provide a broader perspective for Zhu Xi and Wang Yangming’s philosophy,and to intercommunity of Zhu and Wang and prospects are prospected and briefly summarized. |
