Delivery man is a new professional group formed with the development of the Internet,and it is a major force supporting the online catering business.In recent years,people from all walks of life pay more and more attention to delivery men.From the perspective of mental health,this study focuses on mental health,the mental health status of delivery men and the related influencing factors.This study used perceived social support scale,burnout scale,psychological capital scale and mental health scale to investigate 346 deliverers in Chengdu.Ten deliverymen were selected for interview,including two deliverymen management workers.The results of the study found that:The delivery staff’s mental health is good.There are significant differences of mental health in terms of gender,place of household registration,education level,marital status,support for the elderly,type of accommodation,type of work,length of work,number of orders received and monthly income,etc.Deliverymen’ perceived social support is at an intermediate level,with significant differences in gender,education level,marital status,support for the elderly,type of accommodation,type of work,hours of work,number of orders received,and monthly income.There is no occupational burnout in the delivery staff,but there is a significant difference of occupational burnout in terms of working hours and monthly income.The level of mental capital of the delivery staff is relatively high,and there are significant differences of mental capital in terms of gender,household registration,education,marital status,support for the elderly,type of accommodation,type of work,working hours,number of orders received and monthly income.Perceived social support,job burnout,psychological capital and mental health were positively correlated.Perceived social support can directly predict the mental health of delivery personnel;Job burnout acts as an intermediary between the perception of social support and mental health of delivery personnel;psychological capital plays an intermediary role between the delivery personnel’s perceived social support and mental health;Burnout and psychological capital play a chain-like mediating role between the delivery personnel’s perceived social support and mental health.
