| Language is a tool that can help people achieve the purpose of communication and communication.In the daily communication process,it seems that human beings are only conveying specific propositions,but in fact,they are simultaneously conveying their subjective views on past events,events that are happening and about to happen,or actors who complete actions in sentences.Modality is people’s subjective evaluation of objective events.Modality,as an important part of language,exists universally in all human languages,but it is expressed in different forms in different languages according to the type characteristics and expression habits of languages.Modality can be divided into three types according to the different modality meanings it expresses,namely,cognitive modality,moral modality and dynamic modality.Cognitive modality is an important member of modality types,which mainly represents the speaker’s judgment about the possibility and inevitability that what he said is true.From the perspective of modality,the study of Chinese has become mature,but the modality theory of Chinese has not been well applied in Uygur language research.At present,the research on modality in Uyghur language is incomplete,and further research is needed.The purpose of this paper is to make up for the shortcomings in this field.This paper takes the cognitive modal verbs in modern Chinese as the main research object,and describes the possible cognitive modal verbs,probabilistic cognitive modal verbs,inevitable cognitive modal verbs and their combination phenomena in modern Chinese from the aspects of semantic features and grammatical combinations,and makes a comprehensive and detailed analysis of the corresponding expressions of various types of cognitive modal verbs in Uygur language.By comparing the cognitive modal verbs appearing in Chinese-Uyghur translation with Uyghur translation,we can better find the constituent elements of cognitive modal in Uyghur.The full text is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction part,which mainly expounds the basis of the topic selection,research significance,research objects and research summary of this paper,explains the research methods and corpus sources of this paper,and finally defines and classifies the modern Chinese modal verbs.The second,third and fourth chapters are the focus of this paper.Through the research on modal verbs in modern Chinese and the analysis of a large number of corpora,this paper explores the corresponding expressions and basic laws of modal verbs of possibility cognition,probability cognition and necessity cognition in Uygur language.The fifth chapter is another important part of this paper,which tries to find out and explain the rules of modal verbs in modern Chinese.The sixth chapter is the conclusion part,which mainly summarizes the full text and points out the shortcomings in this study. |
