A Study On The Suffering Writings Of Chi Zijian’s Novel

In China’s contemporary literary circle,Chi Zijian is an influential female writer from northeastern part of China with the reputation of “Daughter of Beiji Village”.Since her writing initiation from the year of 1985,she has focused on the black land that she has deep love for.Starting from the local conditions and customs of the northern China,together with her own experience and understanding,she writes about the underdogs as well as their experience in her hometown,and describes the tragically miserable life of those who stay at the bottom of the society,which often contains warmth and hope and always appeases the hearts of both the suffering masses and readers with the power to weather the suffering.Taking the description of the suffering from Chi Zijian’s novels as the research object,using the theories of literary psychology and narratology,the paper adopts the methods of intensive reading,induction and comparative analysis to summarize and present both the materials of her description and the factors affecting the changes of her description,and the paper focuses on the analysis of the changes concerning the description of the suffering to explore the value and significance of Chi Zijian’s suffering writings.This paper consists of the following five parts:The first part is the introduction which mainly introduces the background of the topic selection,combs the research status,and briefly summarizes the main research methods and the innovation of this paper.The second part is the resources of Chi Zijian’s novels which mainly explores the materials of suffering writing in her novels from three aspects: the edification of northeast regional culture,the heavy shadow of death and the accumulation of writers’ reading experience.The third part is the changes of Chi Zijian’s suffering writing.There are obvious changes between her earlier writing stage and later writing period.This part mainly studies from personal to nation,rural to urban two aspecets,and combines the writer’s personal experience and social changes,and uses the relevant theoretical knowledge of narratology to expand the specific discussion.The fourth part is a summary of the significance and limitation of Chi Zijian’s suffering writing.It mainly analyzes from two aspects: the first is the significance of Chi Zijian’s suffering writing,it makes public the kindness and benevolence of human nature,reflects the writer’s deep humanistic concern,but also conveys a kind of face suffering,beyond suffering power;The second is the shortcomings of her creation.While writing about suffering,she puts more description on the tender narration,it prevents the text from digging deeper.The fifth part is the conclusion of the whole paper.It summarizes the full text,reviews the discussion of the suffering writings in Chi Zijian’s novels,and generalizes the meaning and the limitation of the suffering writings in her novels.
