A Study Of The Image Of Chinese Women In Chinese As A Foreign Language Textbooks From The Perspective Of Cultural Communication

Chinese as a foreign language textbook is a window for Chinese learners to learn Chinese and understand Chinese culture,and the role of Chinese in the textbook is an important carrier to show the image of the Chinese nation.A good "textbook character image" design is of great significance in helping international students understand the image of the Chinese people and spread Chinese culture.The first part of the article introduces the research background,purpose and significance,literature review,and research design.The second and third parts respectively explore the current situation of Chinese female character design in volumes 1-4 of the second edition of the New Practical Chinese Textbook and I-II of the "Boya Chinese Beginners",and extract and analyze them from the four dimensions of age,professional background,design and personality connotation.The fourth part analyzes the commonalities and personalities of the two sets of Chinese as a foreign language textbooks in shaping the image of Chinese women.The fifth part proposes the characteristics and enlightenment of two sets of Chinese as a foreign language textbooks to shape the image of Chinese women from the perspective of cultural dissemination.Overall,the two sets of teaching materials have shaped the positive image of young and middle-aged Chinese women who pursue knowledge,have an independent consciousness,yearn for freedom,self-improvement,hard work,treat others warmly,and have a cultural knowledge background.By showing such a group portrait to the outside world,the textbook allows the world to see that Chinese women are no longer the images of no dignity,no knowledge,and only appendages of men in the old Chinese era,but such beautiful,independent,enthusiastic and friendly,self-worthy,and intellectual and cultural background of Chinese women.And through these women,the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation has been disseminated.The author further explores that the chinese language teaching materials to create such a portrait of Chinese women’s groups is not only to show the portrait of this group,but also to show the great development that China has made since the 40 th anniversary of reform and opening up through the change in the status and image of China’s female group.The elevation of the status of Chinese women,the change of ideology,and the awakening of independent consciousness are the epitome of China’s progress in this era.
