Creation And Visual Expression On The Picture Book Of The Western Queen Mythology

The myth about Xi Wang Mu is an important part of the Chinese mythology system,and has been included in the fourth batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.In the mythology of Xi Wang Mu there is a story about Xi Wang Mu and King Mu.It mainly tells the story that King Mu westward visit to the Xi Wang Mu,reflecting a cultural exchange and collision between the two places.This paper takes the story as a research object,carries out the analysis and creation practice of picture book,understands the development status of picture book related to traditional culture at home and abroad,analyzes some picture books,summarizes their expression techniques and creation methods,combines the characteristics of myths and stories themselves.which determines the position of the picture book of Xi Wang Mu and King Mu.Firstly,by thinking about the audience,display form,as well as expression techniques of the picture book,established the expression techniques such as line as the shape,long scroll composition,and blank space are determined;secondly,the context of the story is clarified by arranging the literature,in which to determine the script of the story;thirdly,drawing the sub-shots according to the plot of the story;finally,to complete the whole design of the picture book and the extension.
