A Report On The Simulated Simultaneous Interpretation Of“The Apple Autumn Launch In2020”from The Perspective Of The Interpretive Theory

2020 has witnessed the sweeping of epidemic,which subverts the way people live and work.No industry has been left unscathed including health care,technology,electronics and etc.However,this year,Apple still rolls out its fall launch.As the author has learned and accumulated the technical terms in this field,thus decides to select this corpus and simulates simultaneous interpretation.Under the guidance of interpretive theory,the author makes an analysis of the typical words and sentences of 2020 Apple Autumn Launch,in order to find out the problems encountered in the SI,seek solutions,and then improve the quality of the interpretation.In doing so,solid foundation for future interpretation practice can be laid.In this practice,the author finds that the auxiliary of image-text information and the input of cognitive background can reduce the difficulty of simultaneous interpretation to a certain extent.But there are also a large number of long difficult sentences and terminologies in the corpus,which brings some obstacles to the interpreter.Based on corpus features,the author has extended an analysis framework built on original interpretive theory,mainly including three aspects: source language comprehension,deverbalization and re-expression.The stage of source language comprehension includes the auxiliary of image-text information,cognitive input and logic clarification.The stage of deverbalization consists of lexical and syntactic deverbalization.And the last stage is composed of simplifying repetitive and unimportant information,adding explanation and conjunction,syntactic re-organization and literal interpretation.Through analyzing the typical examples under the guidance of above theoretical framework,the author hopes that instant strategies and experience enlightenment can be put forward by making the best of interpretive theory: source language comprehension,deverbalization and reorganization.At the same time,the author hopes to find out bottlenecks and shortcomings in simultaneous interpretation and the ability to improve in the future.Besides,the author needs to constantly hone interpretation skills in order to present a better performance in the future SI practice.Hopefully,such SI report can assist the study of simultaneous interpretation strategies and provide reference for future interpretation learners.
