Creation Research On The Flower And Bird Painting Series,“Peacocks In The Garden” ——With The White Peacock As The Subject

Since ancient times,the peacock has been regarded as the incarnation of the phoenix,which symbolizes nobility,beauty and happiness.Due to its bright colors and favorable implication,there are many works on it in traditional paintings,decorative arts and religious arts.Pure white peacock is a symbol of holiness and flawlessness.It was not until modern times that painters began to portray it as a painting theme,which has greater room for innovation.the author chooses the white peacock as the theme of research,intending to use the fine brushwork technique to depict its wonderful moments.Therefore,the peacock is selected as the theme of this graduation thesis to create the series of works,“Peacocks in the Garden”.The thesis analyzes the development history of fine brush painting of flowers,birds and peacocks,as well as the works of classic painters of all dynasties.It combines the characteristics of the era of modern and contemporary fine brush painting of flowers and birds to carry out research on the white peacock in terms of its nobility and auspiciousness and deeply explore the paintings with the theme of the white peacock.In addition,it fully manifests the characteristics of the holiness and nobility of the white peacock,and adds a modern painting language in terms of the background and composition,so as to express a modern form of painting space and combine the hyper-time and space context with the living environment of modern people.
