| Haydn wrote very little for instrumental concerto.The Cello Concerto in D major(Hob.VIIb:2)is one of his most famous concertos.With its light and cheerful melody and superb technical skills,this piece has attracted many cellists at all times and in all over the world to play,and many world-class symphony orchestras have also made it as the compulsory piece for auditions.Based on the previous research results,this paper conducts a comprehensive exploration of the composition’s creative background,musical structure,important performance versions and Cadenza excerpts,and the author’s own performance experience,in order to bring inspiration to cello students.The author also hope that students who want to pass the symphony orchestra auditions could have better performance with the inspiration. |
