Research On The Artistic Expression Of Gods And Monsters In The Illustrations Of Contemporary Books Of Shan Hai Jing

With the advent of the era of reading pictures,the image of gods and monsters in "Shan Hai Jing" has been widely used as a cultural label in the creation of contemporary book illustrations,showing a high artistic level and having important research value.At present,with the increasing number of book illustrations published in The Classic of Mountains and Seas year by year,the artistic expression of gods and monsters in contemporary book illustrations shows a tendency to be consistent.How to diversify the artistic expression of the gods and monsters in the illustrations of the contemporary "Shan Hai Jing" book illustrations is the first question to be discussed at present.This paper takes the artistic expression of the gods and monsters in the illustrations of the contemporary "Shan Hai Jing" as the research object,and uses the methods of image research,comparative analysis,text interviews and other methods to collect,organize,analyze and research on it.The content of this paper will be developed at the following levels: the first chapter mainly analyzes the background and characteristics of the formation of the gods and monsters in "Shan Hai Jing",and summarizes the evolution and contemporary presentation of the gods and monsters in the illustrations of "Shan Hai Jing";A comprehensive comparative analysis is made on the modeling performance of the gods and monsters in the illustrations of the Book of Mountains and Seas;the third chapter expounds the medium language and color representation of the gods and monsters in the illustrations of the books of the Book of Mountains and Seas,and further explores the connection between the two;Chapter four summarizes the presentation of the structure and form of ghost images in contemporary "Shan Hai Jing" book illustrations;Chapter five summarizes the above research,summarizes the problems faced by the artistic expression of ghost images in contemporary "Shan Hai Jing" book illustrations,and develops its diversified development.approach is discussed.Through the above research,it is found that the images of gods and monsters in contemporary "Shan Hai Jing" book illustrations tend to be homogenized due to their overly similar shapes,single medium language,and lack of depth in structural forms.Therefore,this paper puts forward suggestions on the diversification of its modeling expression from three aspects: modeling techniques,modeling styles,and innovative integration of modeling elements,and puts forward my personal views on the diversified presentation of media language and the complete expression of the image world.Only by clearly grasping the trend of the artistic expression of the gods and monsters in the illustrations of contemporary "Shan Hai Jing" book illustrations,and understanding its development status and shortcomings,can it effectively lead it to diversity,which is also the original intention of this thesis.
