Learning English requires a strong foundation in vocabulary.Without vocabulary,there will be no language,so English teaching is naturally inseparable from English vocabulary teaching.With the continuous development of the internet era,mobile devices and online learning methods are becoming more and more diversified.Baicizhan App and Rain Classroom are the product of the internet era.The Baicizhan App is the first batch of education applications published by the Ministry of Education’s General Office.And it is a word reciting software with the highest penetration rate in China in recent years.It integrates interesting,diversified,large number of words,offline use,friend PK and other functions,so it can really help users learn words.Rain classroom is an intelligent teaching tool,which connects teachers and students with intelligent terminals.It connects all links before,during,and after class,enhancing the classroom teaching experience by allowing teachers and students to engage more and making teaching more convenient.This study is to create a new English vocabulary teaching mode by using the combination of Baicizhan App and Rain Classroom.This study began in 2021 in the Experimental Junior High School Affiliated to Qinghai Normal University.From September 2021,students from this school’s Class1 and Class 5 of Grade 8 were chosen as research participants for this study.This paper mainly discusses how do teachers use the Baicizhan App and Rain Classroom to promote students’ English vocabulary learning? What kind of teaching effects will students have after using the combination of Baicizhan App and Rain Classroom?Whether students’ English vocabulary learning score has been improved? If so,what are the main manifestations of students at different levels? In one semester,research and teaching practice are carried out together.The research mainly adopts the methods of questionnaire,interview,vocabulary test and Rain Classroom vocabulary test.During this period,two questionnaires were distributed,one teacher and student interview,two English vocabulary tests and 36 classroom vocabulary tests were conducted.After that,it preliminarily explores the English vocabulary teaching mode of the Baicizhan App and Rain Classroom.The results show that students like the vocabulary teaching mode of the combination of Baicizhan App and Rain Classroom very much.This teaching mode not only improves students’ English vocabulary test scores and learning interests,solves the difficulties in English vocabulary learning,but also teaches students a variety of ways to recite words.Students expressed their willingness to use this new vocabulary teaching mode all the time.To sum up,the English vocabulary teaching mode of the combination of Baicizhan App and Rain Classroom has a positive role in promoting students’ English vocabulary learning.
