The Relationship Between Parenting Style Of Left Behind Children And Mobile Phone Dependence:the Intermediary Role Of Self-control

According to the report released by CNNIC,nearly 200 million middle students are addicted to the mobile phones and cannot control the time of using the mobile phone until December 2020.According to the research results,the researchers found out mobile phone users have the phenomenon of inappropriate and incorrect use.According to searching the relative literature,the research also found out most research about the mobile dependence mainly foucus on between college students and vocational college students.For example,Fu Guifang（2016）found that a quarter of college students have mobile phone dependence.However,there are few studies on the mobile phone dependence of junior high school students and left behind children.As of October 2018,there are 6.97 million rural parents left children in China.Because of long-term separation from their parents,parents left children are lack of parental care 、warmth and supervision,can not avoid the temptation of mobile phones in the growth process.Therefore,with a large number of left behind children’s mobile phone use problem can not be ignored.Research shows that researchers have done a lot of research on the relationship between parenting style and mobile phone dependence,the relationship between parenting style and self-control,the relationship between self-control and mobile phone dependence.The results also show that there is a pairwise correlation between parenting style,self-control and mobile phone dependency.There is a possibility of relationship between the two factors and mobile phone dependence.Therefore,in order to study the current situation of left behind junior middle school students’ mobile phone use and reveal the relationship among parental rearing style,self-control and mobile phone dependence,this study took 805 left behind junior middle school students in Guangdong Province as subjects,collected data by questionnaire survey,and analyzed the survey data by SPSS 23.0 and bootstrap.The results show that:1.There is a significant difference between left behind children and non left behind children about mobile phone dependence,and left behind children have a higher degree of mobile phone dependence than non left behind children.There are significant gender differences in parenting styles,and boys score higher than girls;mobile phone dependence has significant differences in residence,and the scores of those living in villages and towns are higher than those in rural areas,and those living in rural areas are higher than those in county towns.There is a significant difference in self-control between the only child and the non only child.2.Parenting style,self-control and mobile phone dependence are interrelated.3.3.Parental care can predict self-control,high parental care cause high self-control;parental control can predict self-control,high parental control cause low self-control.4.The higher the parental care,the stronger the self-control and the lower the mobile phone dependence;the higher the parental control,the weaker the self-control and the more serious the mobile phone dependence.In conclusion,self-control plays a complete mediating role between parental love and smart phone dependency,while self-control plays a partial mediating role between parental control and mobile phone dependence.
