With the continuous development of economy and science and technology,the way of exhibition in museums has gradually changed from the traditional way to an experiential way.The functions of museums have also changed.They not only need to undertake history and culture,but also need to play an educational role.The traditional display is often presented in the form of text and pictures,which is far from meeting the needs of school-age children.Therefore,it is extremely urgent to combine the present display mode with multi-discipline,change to innovative display mode,and make the information more interesting and adapt to the characteristics of school-age children.Research on experiential design for school-age children can meet the needs of school-age children at the present stage.However,the existing experiential design for digital museum display is mostly designed for adult users,which does not fully conform to the cognitive characteristics of school-age children,resulting in that children cannot have strong experiential feelings when visiting museums.Therefore,the experiential design for school-age children plays a pivotal role in the museum’s digital design display.Firstly,this paper sorted out and analyzed relevant literatures and theories,determined that children were the main users,and clarified the concepts related to school-age children users and elements of experience design.Secondly for school-age children to look at the actual experience in experience design,interactive design,found that the case for school-age children interested in experience design experience:information design reasonable fully,interesting and historical culture,imaginative,children users a sense of action and the fusion of natural interaction design,more in line with the characteristics of school-aged children.Then,through the above research,summarize the principles of digital display experience design of school-age children’s museum.Finally,according to the cognitive characteristics of school-age children,the strategies of "intentional perception,exploration of novelty","full of imagination,fairy tale performance","natural interaction,efficient experience","appropriate difficulty,children understand","bright color,simple interface" are put forward,and the strategies are implemented in practice.The application of experiential design in museum digital display is significant,which can broaden the information perception channel of school-age children,make the museum better serve school-age children,and provide new ideas for museum digital display design.
