| Since the beginning of the new woodcut movement in 1930,woodcut prints have been widely used as a wartime propaganda method because of the convenience of production and printing. The Luyi Woodcut Work Group was established in December 1938 in Luyi,Yan’an,for the woodcut propaganda work group behind the enemy’s rear in the Chinese War of Resistance.During the formation of the group,Luyi woodcut workers established woodcut workshops behind enemy lines for woodcut propaganda work. The Anti-Japanese War woodcut during the Yan’an period was the subject of many scholars’ research, and the author found that there was very little research on the Luyi woodcut workshop. The work system of creation, printing and dissemination embodied in the woodcut workshop has opened a good beginning for the complete development of Chinese printmaking today. The creative work in the workshop has extremely rich research significance. The woodcut workers at that time walked together with the people, and the works they created were constantly improved with reference to the feedback and opinions of the people, and finally found a woodcut propaganda poster style suitable for the people. The woodcut working group created realistic propaganda posters from the perspective of the people. As a research from the perspective of propaganda, the propaganda work done during the establishment of the woodcut workshop has a complete propaganda work method, and these work experiences can still be used in the current publicity posters. This paper uses the method of combining literature research and case study to conduct research by sorting out the historical facts of the woodcut workshop established by the Luyi Woodcut Work Group, analyzes the propaganda works created in the Luyi woodcut workshop, and summarizes the creation experience of Luyi woodcut propaganda paintings,to learn the means of propaganda work in the Luyi woodcut workshop. |
