spiritual embodiment of the ancestors’ courage to struggle and explore.It itself is the representative of cultural memory.The inheritance of cultural memory needs the help of certain material carriers.The birth of animation media provides a bearing and communication channel for the writing of cultural memory.It can not only store and spread cultural memory,but also update and reproduce cultural memory.Over the years,the animation works of Nezha’s fairy tales have emerged in endlessly.From "Nezha making trouble in the sea" in 1979 to "new gods: the rebirth of Nezha" in 2021,the writing and construction of Nezha’s cultural memory in animation film and television works is not only a historical retrospect of traditional culture,but also a wake-up of China’s national cultural memory in the context of globalization.Therefore,based on the perspective of cultural memory theory,this paper takes 20 animated film and television works about Nezha’s myth as examples to explore the presentation characteristics and construction content of Nezha’s cultural memory in animated film and television works,and summarizes the value and Enlightenment of Nezha’s cultural memory in animated film and television works,in order to provide some reference for domestic animation film and television creation and cultural memory theory research.The thesis is divided into four parts.The introduction part discusses the reason and significance of the topic,research status at home and abroad,research methods and innovation of the paper.The first chapter mainly discusses the theory of cultural memory from three aspects: recall image,media dimension and identity,and combs the relationship between cultural memory and Chinese animation film and television.The relationship between cultural memory and animation film and television is not a one-way promotion relationship,but a coupling relationship of mutual influence,mutual promotion and common development.The second chapter mainly discusses the multi-dimensional presentation of cultural memory in Nezha theme animation films and television from the cross dimensions of time,space and time.From the perspective of time,the image and story of Nezha in different periods have different characteristics.It extracts and selects the content of Nezha’s cultural memory through Buddhist classics,folk stories and cultural texts;From the perspective of space dimension,animation film and television use cultural symbols,music symbols and scene symbols to highlight Nezha’s cultural memory and extend the audience’s memory and imagination space;From the perspective of the intersection of time and space,the animation film and television media broke the space-time limit of the text,gave the audience the recall situation through the ceremony of "watching",and explained the meaning of the past preservation in the present way.The third chapter mainly discusses the multi-dimensional changes of Nezha’s cultural memory in the animation film and television from three aspects: image shaping,plot evolution and theme change.In terms of image shaping,the animation film and television dispels the divinity of Nezha’s prototype,presenting the images of ugly devil child,punk adult and collage youth.In terms of plot construction,the animation creators have adapted Nezha’s mythology and added funny,sci-fi Entertainment and other elements have subverted the audience’s previous memory and cognition of Nezha’s story;In terms of theme implication,animated films and television have updated Nezha’s cultural memory.Nezha’s spirit has gradually moved from "divinity" to "humanity".The spiritual connotation of his daring to fight has been newly interpreted in the context of the new era.The fourth chapter mainly summarizes the value and Enlightenment of cultural memory in Nezha’s animated film and television works.In the context of globalization,the cultural memory in animation film and television works has the value of national imagination,collective memory and cultural spirit.Animation film and television creators should dig deep into memory symbols when constructing cultural memory,and strive to realize the international expression of our national cultural memory.The conclusion part summarizes this article.The reappearance of cultural memory in Nezha’s animated film and television works is not only the representation of Chinese culture,but also the code of national spirit.Looking at the development of Nezha’s animated film and television works from 1979 to 2021,animation film and television has completed the writing and identification of Nezha’s cultural memory,but there is also a phenomenon of partially dissolving cultural memory,How to stimulate the audience’s deep understanding of Chinese culture and produce spontaneous identity is a subject that needs to be constantly considered by the animation film and television industry in the future. |
