Movement is the essence of animation. In real-life film and television dramas, the actors control the movement rhythm of the characters played and lead to the emotional conflict of the plot;but in animation, the movement speed and rhythm changes of the characters are controlled by the digital "entity" created by the animator, and the law of motion used is derived from the refinement and artistic processing of the law of realism. From a macro point of view, the performance of animated characters is in a sense an extension of the law of real motion. Its roots come from reality, but in the context of animation that is with a thick virtual shell, they have the qualifications to be artistically transformed. From a technical point of view,an animator must first have a certain grasp of the character’s image in his mind before designing actions for the character. This grasp comes from the established script and character’s styling design, and then through a series of application principles and the application carriers to empower the animation character with suitable animation motion laws,so that its image could gradually become three-dimensional.In this context, this paper is divided into five chapters, namely, introduction,an overview of the animation character image and the law of motion, the application principle of the law of motion in those works, the application of the law of animation movement to the character image, and the application effect of the "customized"motion law.It is proposed to analyze the influence of the basic theory and application principles of animation motion laws on character image shaping, and explore the application carrier and practical effects of animation motion laws in character image-based scenes in combination with examples.
