The Contemporary Turn Of Post-modern Photography Aesthetics

From the perspective of historical research,this paper focuses on the analysis of the relationship between aesthetic theory and photography in different periods.First of all,through the analysis of related concepts to clarify the disciplinary relationship between aesthetics and photography aesthetics,and then through the study of classical aesthetics,modern aesthetics and contemporary aesthetic theory since postmodern combined with related artists’ works to clarify how aesthetic theory plays on photography.Finally,the application of aesthetic theory in contemporary photography creation is analyzed based on personal works.This paper is divided into the following parts:The first part,the introduction part introduces the background of the topic,the purpose and significance of the topic,research status at home and abroad.The second part is mainly about the discrimination of related concepts,as well as the historical stages from the perspective of the history of aesthetics and photography,so as to clarify the mutual correspondence between aesthetics and photography art,paving the way for the concrete discussion in the following part.The third part mainly analyzes the influence of classical aesthetics and modern formal aesthetics on the evolution of photography art,and compares the similarities and differences between painting aesthetics and photography aesthetics in the classical period with specific cases.And analyze the aesthetic characteristics of modern photography with the theory of formalism.The fourth part introduces the contemporary photography aesthetics since postmodernism,and analyzes the characteristics of photography aesthetics since postmodernism from the negation of the form and reproduction of modernism photography aesthetics by postmodernism.This chapter is also the focus of this paper.This paper focuses on the particularity of contemporary photography aesthetics,the media of photography and the connection between daily aesthetics and photography art,and points out the new characteristics of contemporary photography aesthetics compared with post-modern photography aesthetics by combining artists’ works.The fifth part,mainly combined with personal graduation works and other related works,analyzes the application of contemporary aesthetic theory in photographic creation.The conclusion part summarizes the viewpoint of the thesis and proves the important role of aesthetics in the creation and appreciation of contemporary photography.
