A Practical Study Of The Image Creation Of Dance Characters ——Take "Youth As A Song" As An Example

Characters in dance are the most important elements in a dance work,and are particularly important in dance works.The shaping of characters in dance works is one of the primary considerations for choreographers when creating works.The success of a dance work mostly depends on the success of the character image.The character image in the work represents the soul,theme and spirit of the whole work,and can directly convey the central idea and inner meaning of the work to the audience.This paper takes the dance character shaping in the dance work "Youth as a Song" as the research object,and the characters are adapted from the author’s personal experience.In this paper,the method of documentary materials,video analysis,logic analysis and case analysis is used to explore the dance characters in the works,and the content of the works is systematically expounded,including the plot analysis of the dance work "Youth Like a Song",Thematic analysis,plot construction analysis,body movement analysis,emotional expression analysis and social function analysis of dance characterization.Analyzing the character characteristics of the characters through six aspects,and combines the plot,limbs and emotions to show the character’s epoch and spiritual connotation.For the dance works studied in this paper,contemporary realism themes are selected to create the works,and the dance characters are shaped from the perspective of young people,and the characters in the dance works are displayed by arranging the iconic deeds in the experience.When choosing body movements,the choreographer combines the movements of dance cheerleading to add style to the work,enriching the image of the dance characters and their shaping methods.At the same time,it can also show the spiritual will of the characters in the works,reflecting the cultural genes engraved in the hearts of the youth of the times.It is hoped that the article can provide theoretical support and practical experience for choreographers who create dance characters.
