Study Of Verbs Bound With Adverbial And Their Lexical Chunks In Modern Chinese

This paper takes Verbs Bound with Adverbial in modern Chinese as the research object,firstly defines Verbs Bound with Adverbial,and puts forward the judging method of Verbs Bound with Adverbial.A total of 353 Verbs Bound with Adverbial were retrieved from the list of verbs in Modern Chinese dictionary（7th edition）.The meaning of Verbs Bound with Adverbial can be divided into expressing meaning,helping meaning,relating meaning,being meaning,hindering meaning,giving meaning,adding meaning and treating meaning.Verbs Bound with Adverbial have the characteristics of disyllabic word,the predicate-object structure and the written style.As for the stickiness of Verbs Bound with Adverbial,this paper analyzes the stickiness of adverbial,whether the stickiness is unique or not,and the type of the stickiness of adverbial,and points out that Verbs Bound with Adverbial can be divided into strength and weakness;there are two kinds of Verbs Bound with Adverbial:absolute Verbs Bound with Adverbial and relative Verbs Bound with Adverbial,and there are only Verbs Bound with Adverbial and quasi-Verbs Bound with Adverbial;Most adverbials are marked with prepositions,while a few of them are marked without prepositions.This paper analyses the cause of formation of Verbs Bound with Adverbial,and holds that the stickness of adverbial are due to semantic needs and prosodic needs.Since Verbs Bound with Adverbial and its adverbial form Lexical Chunk,this paper studies the construction of Lexical Chunk,and divides it into phrase frame and fixed match.In view of the practical value of Lexical Chunk in second language teaching,this paper analyzes the teaching objects and methods of Lexical Chunk formed by Verbs Bound with Adverbial,and provides the lists of Verbs Bound with Adverbial and their Lexical Chunk,for research and teaching purposes.
