| Eight Memories in Watercolor is a piano suite composed by Tan Dun during his undergraduate studies at the Central Conservatory of Music.During this period of study,he was full of longing for his hometown and fond memories of his childhood.It is precisely because of Tan Dun’s emotional projection that this exquisite piano art work was born.This article will take the aesthetic point of "beauty in image" as an entry point to explore the ontological beauty in Eight Memories in Watercolor.This article is divided into three parts: The first part provides the most basic concepts for "what is image" and "beauty in image";the second part combines the core aesthetic theme of the thesis "image" to analyze the music ontology of the eight movements of the whole song;The third part also uses the perspective of "imagery" to explain the feelings in actual performance from the three levels of the structure of the song,the expression of scenery,and the expression of emotion. |
