A Study On Wang Xu’s Landscape Poems

Wang Xu was a literati in the north of the early Yuan Dynasty.He was famous for his essays.He was known as the "Three Kings" along with Wang Gu and Wang Pan of Yong Nian.As for the research on Wang Xu,there are few research achievements at present,focusing on the analysis of his life and the overall care of his poems,there is still a lot of space to be made up.This thesis takes Wang Xu’s landscape poetry as the research object.As for Wang Xu’s landscape poetry,it mainly describes the change of his life and attitude.The distinctive style highlights the cultural differences between the north and the South and their own characteristics,which has research value.Therefore,on the basis of absorbing the previous research results,this thesis takes Wang Xu’s life experience as the starting point and the change of mentality as the reference to study the content and style characteristics of his landscape poetry and reveal its literary and regional cultural value.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this thesis is divided into the following four chapters:Chapter one: the creation background of Wang Xu’s landscape poems.This chapter aims to explore the motive and emotional origin of Wang Xu’s landscape poems from the subjective and objective background.Through analyzing Wang Xu’s literary environment,life,friends and thoughts,it can be found that the reason why Wang Xu created a large number of landscape poems is influenced by multiple factors.The change of mentality in different life stages is also an important factor affecting Wang Xu’s landscape poetry creation.During the period of the southern tour,the landscape poems were composed with high spirit and unrestrained spirit.In the stage of seeking official,the main melody of his landscape poems is the depression of being unappreciated and the sadness of being unappreciated.When he was a teacher in his later years,landscape poems mostly took seclusion as the theme,showing a gradually indifferent and peaceful state of mind.Chapter two: the theme and content of Wang Xu’s landscape poems.In this chapter,while fully displaying the contents of Wang Xu’s landscape poems,it is possible to dig into the changes of the poet’s inner thoughts and emotional tendencies.His landscape poems can be roughly divided into three categories: sightseeing,brigade poem,nostalgia.The scenic poems mainly express the feelings of retreat and the pursuit of high purity.The landscape poems of the feterer category mostly write about the nostalgia for the hometown and the sadness of being late and helpless.The landscape poems of nostalgia for the past reflect the emotion of the vicissitudes of life and the depression of being unappreciated.Chapter three: Wang Xu’s landscape poetry style features.This chapter focuses on the style and artistic features of Wang Xu’s landscape poetry.Starting with the poetry style of Wang Xu’s landscape poems,this thesis discusses the style characteristics of his poems,which are natural and light,bold and bright,clean and soft.Then it discusses the artistic skills of Wang Xu’s landscape poems from three aspects: the use of Canon,image carving and color description.Chapter four: the double value of Wang Xu’s landscape poetry.This chapter aims to explore the literary value and regional cultural value of Wang Xu’s landscape poetry.This is the weakness of current research,and also the key part of this thesis.In terms of literary value,Wang Xu’s landscape poetry is the inheritance and development of landscape pastoral theme,and it may not be comparable with Tao Xie and Wang Meng in poetic achievements,but only in the Yuan Dynasty,it is worth affirming.With his unique aesthetic Angle of view,Wang Xu integrated personalized sentiment and wrote moral education and folk customs into his poems,which enriched the connotation of landscape poems in the Yuan Dynasty.In terms of regional cultural value,this thesis only focuses on the regional landscape clusters presented by his poems and makes in-depth excavation.It mainly includes lu Di culture and Wu Di culture.In addition,his landscape poems also involve other regional cultures,but they are not discussed because of scattered locations and few poems.In addition,on the basis of combing Wang Xu’s life literature and previous research results,this thesis systematically sorts out Wang Xu’s life and wanderings in the appendix at the end of the article.This sort of life path not only more clearly presents Wang Xu’s life experience and travel path,but also lays a foundation for the subsequent research on Wang Xu,so it has important academic value.Wang Xu is an important scholar in the north of the early Yuan Dynasty,whose landscape poems are rich in content,mature in art,and show the value of literature and regional culture,which provides the literature support for the study of Lu di culture and Wu Di culture,and should be paid attention to in the literature study of the Yuan Dynasty.
