Study On Leisure Literature Of Seven Sages In Bamboo Forest

Under the social unrest and political pressure in Wei and Jin Dynasties,the style of literary creation has undergone tremendous changes.The passionate and heroic voice of the beginning gradually faded away,and the "romantic style of celebrities" represented by the seven sages of bamboo forest gradually developed among the literati.They stay away from political disputes and wander between nature,expressing their leisure life in words,which has a great influence on the writing of leisure literature in later generations.Through the method of combining literature and history,this thesis takes the literati group of Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest as the breakthrough point to explore the initial germination of leisure aesthetics.The research contents of this thesis mainly include the following aspects:First of all,starting with the definition and category of leisure literature,on the basis of predecessors’ research and summary,the leisure literature of the Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest is defined,and the coverage of leisure literature is clarified.On this basis,this thesis analyzes the origin background of leisure literature of seven sages in bamboo forest,which originated in the Eastern Han Dynasty and was established in Wei and Jin Dynasties,and discusses its later evolution.Secondly,the leisure literature works handed down by the Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest are divided into four categories: feasting,making friends,chanting things and keeping healthy.Banquet was an important social activity of the gentry in Wei and Jin Dynasties.Leisure literature,as a product of aristocratic gentry in the early days,can be seen everywhere in banquet speeches.Making friends contains a wide range of contents,and longing for friends is the overflow of literati’s emotion in Wei and Jin Dynasties,and giving a reply becomes a way of expressing leisure.During the Wei and Jin Dynasties,the subject of chanting objects gradually turned from people to objects,from objects to abstractions,which is the characteristic of leisure aesthetics gradually becoming independent.In fact,the theory of keeping in good health stems from the admiration of Laozi and Zhuangzi,coupled with people’s desire for longevity since the Warring States Period.Poems about immortals and the theory of keeping in good health,which are generated by the feeling of worrying about life,are also leisure literature pursued by all living beings in leisure.Thirdly,it focuses on the innovation of aesthetic interest in leisure literature of seven sages of bamboo forest.Seven sages of bamboo forest made outstanding contributions to music and health preservation,which was a major breakthrough of leisure literature in Wei and Jin Dynasties.The representative leisure literature created by the Seven Sages has formed a new image group in the history of literature,laying the foundation for the development of leisure literature in later generations.Finally,combining with the works,the artistic style of leisure literature of seven sages in bamboo forest is studied.In terms of language use,"You" is frequently used in the leisure works of the Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest,and the understanding of this word is also different.In addition,the expansion and application of the image of "bird" is also worthy of attention.The creative style is based on the three characteristics of "elegance,ease and cleverness",and the seven sages have different styles.This thesis analyzes the three characteristics through specific works.Then,it analyzes the influence of the seven sages of bamboo forest on leisure literature creation of later generations,and makes an objective evaluation on the position of leisure literature in the history of literature.
