On LuMin’s Novels

As a female writer born after 1970 in China,Lu Min has been continuously writing novels for more than 20 years and her short novels are witnessed to maintain a steady increase in the quantity and quality.In addition,she is also constantly exploring the field of long novels and exceeding what she was in the past.Lu Min’s novel creation always focuses on the daily life of ordinary people,which can embody her attention paid to the various aspects of the folk world and the thoughts over the multiple dimensions of human nature.Her creation is diverse and multi-layered,which not only writes about the muddy and sunken cities in the modern times but also describes the bright and inclusive Eastdam.At the same time,she strongly displays the living wisdom of small potatoes in the grassroots and intends to present a comprehensive and abundant humanity in the creation.This article is divided into five parts: the introduction,the three chapter of the body content and the conclusion part.The introduction part mainly concludes the current research situation of Lu Min’s novels,the research method and the value of this article.The first chapter analyzes and interprets such three unique themes as the criticism of the morbid urban,appreciation of poetic Eastdam and the commandment on the grassroots wisdom in the novels of Lu Min.Based on relevant novels,the passage discovers the significance and value of the three themes on the society,culture and thought.Among these three themes,Lu Min always pays close attention to the close connection between human nature and real life,and presents the joys and sorrows of people in daily life through the novel,highlighting the living situation of human beings from inside to out.The second chapter concludes three kinds of images,namely“Absentee on the Wall:Dad”,“The Unfortunate under Heavy Pressure: Widow”and“Tweens under Loneliness:Teenager”.The images are interpreted in combination of Lu Min’s life experience,family background and creative concept.In her creation,Lu Min pay attention to and describes these characters in the complex living landscape in order to deeply study human nature beyond morality and ethics rather than to criticize in a cold manner or barely produce superficial mercy.Therefore,it shows the humanitarian care and practical signific ance in her created novels.The third chapter mainly summarizes the artistic skills of Lu Min’s novels,explains and evaluates the design concepts and artistic skills of Lu Min’s novels.She has been trying and renewing the artistic skills of novels,which doesn’t mean that she is showing off her skills but choose the most suitable narration method according to the textual content.Therefore,we can see that Lu Min employs various artistic skills.This passage selects three of the most distinctive aspects,including irregular mixture,rear-window framing writing and daily narration.In the conclusion part,this passage conducts an overall observation and evaluation of Lu Min’s novel creation,points out the shortcomings of her creation,and looks forward to her creation path in the future.
