Through sorting out the content and form of "complexity" and "simplicity" in western still life oil paintings,the main line of this study is determined in two aspects: one is "complexity" and "simplicity" reflected in the content of creation,the other is "complexity" and "simplicity" reflected in the form of creation;The "complexity" and "simplicity" in the content of creation can be determined according to the needs of specific creation themes,but the use of "complexity" and "simplicity" in the form of creation is not easy.This topic studies the application of "complexity" and "simplicity" in oil painting still life works,which needs to clarify the relationship between complexity and simplicity,performance in still life oil painting and a series of problems.This paper makes a thorough and systematic analysis of the relationship between complexity and simplicity in still life oil painting.The paper is divided into four chapters,the first chapter is to understand the development history of still life painting and understand the conversion conditions of traditional and simple,strengthen the understanding of the dialectical thought of traditional and simple;In the second chapter,in order to better understand and understand the application of "complexity" and "simplicity" in still life oil paintings,the research of this topic will collect,sort out,discuss and analyze the works with the characteristics of "complexity" and "simplicity".Using Clive bell,Rudolf arne haim art historian related theory,through the collection,analysis and induction Cezanne,Bernard catlin,miro,morandi artists such as still life oil painting,from the specific perspective of composition,shape,color,summarizes its artistic form,clear his motives,find suitable for their characteristics of painting language,And in the future painting process as a breakthrough point along this direction to continue to study and learn.The third chapter analyzes complexity and simplicity from the perspective of content and form of creation according to the previous understanding and understanding of complexity and simplicity,and explains the works under the influence of Chinese and Western ideology and culture combined with the research conclusion.The fourth chapter,combined with personal creation,briefly describes how to embody the philosophy of "simplicity in complexity" in creation content,and expounds how to embody "simplicity in complexity" in creation form.
