In this paper,centering on "how to through the practice to complete the independent curator curator roles" this problem,from the curator course,curator and several methods such as curator,visual Angle,carries on the analysis discussion,are typical of Chinese and western independent curator: Switzerland and independent curator Hou Han as China independent curator Shi Zeman curator of the practice of comparative study,It further analyzes the role and orientation of curators in contemporary art,and provides the latest domestic and foreign curatorial practice cases and the cutting-edge theoretical trends of curatorial industry for those who are interested in curatorial industry.The focus of the full text,in the middle of the paper framework design four chapters,the four chapters of the specific discussion as follows:Chapter one discusses the role of independent curators and their research cases.This chapter describes the concept,characteristics,causes and development of the role of independent curators,analyzes the importance of the role of independent curators,introduces the research case and research methods of this paper,and provides theoretical norms and methodological guidance for further research.Chapter two is a comparative analysis of the acquisition of the role of independent curators in China and the West.According to the clues of time and space,through sorting out the personal experiences of Swiss independent curators Shi Zeman and Chinese independent curators Hou Hanru,this chapter expounds how the two outstanding independent curators embarked on the road of independent curators.Chapter three is a comparative study of the curatorial ideas of Chinese and Western independent curators.The first part of this chapter analyzes the exhibitions planned by Zeman after he became an independent curator,and summarizes zeman’s artistic utopia,personal myth,liberalism and other curatorial ideas.The second part analyzes hou Hanru’s curatorial ideas such as "regenerative space","artistic autonomy" and "exceptional state".Finally,through comparative research,the similarities and differences between the two curatorial concepts are summarized in the theoretical basis and practical process.Chapter four: The focus of the discussion is the comparative study of Chinese and Western independent curators’ curatorial models.The first part of this chapter analyzes the "overall art" and "dynamic curation" in The curation process of Shi Zeman.The second part studies hou Hanru’s curatorial model in curatorial practice,summarizes the curatorial characteristics such as "necessity of art planning","exploratory organization" and "localization of exhibition",and makes a comparative analysis of the two curatorial models,and summarizes the similarities and differences.This article through to Chinese and western two independent curator of case study and comparative analysis,get the following enlightenment: the role of independent curator,planning and organization,not just for art exhibition art exhibition is not merely a white box in a fixed mode,the contemporary independent curator attitude toward art exhibition,should be "inductive for exhibition,express for affection" creative mode.The definition of the role of independent curators,similarities between the curatorial concept and the curatorial model in curatorial practice,unique vision,professional vision and serious academic attitude provide a theoretical reference and practical experience for the new generation of Curators who are interested in the curatorial industry in China.
