By collecting and collating published archaeological excavation briefs and related works, this thesis counts a total of 146 decorated tombs, and based on this, using archaeological methods and relevant literature,we conduct a zoning and staging study of the Liao,Song and Jin decorated tombs in Shanxi. The tombs were divided into six categories according to the decorative themes, such as imitation wood building elements, production life, living scenes, filial stories, astrological auspiciousness and others, and these decorative images reflect the daily life scenes of the tomb owners. The images of camel carts, saddle horses and hidden tomb owners show the influence of Khitan customs on Han Chinese, and also reflect the continuous acceptance of Chinese culture in the Liao dynasty. In the Song and Jin dynasty tombs in central and southern Jin dynasty, there are distinctive cultural characteristics such as pounding rice, drawing water and farming.During the Northern Song Dynasty, the imitation wooden architecture in the tombs gradually changed from simple to complex, with images of life and work, auspicious pictures and filial son pictures predominating;the largest number of tombs in the Jin Dynasty, with increasingly complex brick decorations, the most representative of which are tomb master pictures, filial son stories and music and dance performances. The decorated tombs in Shanxi region gradually enriched, developed and integrated with the change of regime, forming their own characteristics and showing the changes in the decoration of tombs under the evolutionary path of different power systems. At the same time, these images also vividly show the social living conditions of people and reflect the social life and ideology and culture of the time.
