The Relevance And Interaction Between Mudan’s Poetic Writing And History | | Posted on:2022-12-25 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:J Q Xie | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2505306782972239 | Subject:Library Science and Digital Library | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | This article cuts into Mudan’s poetry from the perspective of historical relevance.In view of the tendency of "non-historicization" in past research,this paper puts Mudan’s poetry writing back into the historical context,uses the critical strategy of text perusal to study how poets respond to historical upheavals with the way of writing,makes transcendent thinking and creative expression of history,observes the internal interaction and correlation between writing and history,responds to the "pseudo-proposition" controversy about Mudan in literary history,and re-recognizes the literary historical contribution and contemporary value of Mudan’s poetry.The outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression promoted the awakening of the historical consciousness of Mudan’s poetry.The poetic concept of "new lyricism" corresponds to Mudan’s poetic practice,implying an infinitely progressive nation-state consciousness.Influenced by Christian thought,Mudan’s poetry transcends linear notions of history and presents an "anti-progressive" sense of history.The "self" of Mudan’s poetry also presents modern characteristics such as fragmentation,contradiction,and division,which is a metaphor for the deviation and destruction of the nation-state consciousness.Due to the life and death experience of the Burmese battlefield and the life experience of going north to compile newspapers,Mudan gradually adjusted his position in history.Historical conditions continued to deteriorate,and the poetry of Mudan from 1945 until the civil war period became more closely related to history,and in a more direct way,it shredded the conceptual schemas of historical determinism,historical evolution,historical instrumentalism,and historical heroism.The history since the Civil War is seen by poets as the degeneration of history,and this period of Mudan poetry has the meaning of "witnessing history".The excessive attachment to historical reality makes the emotion of poetry more indignant,and it lacks a certain "artistic indirection".After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,Mudan remained more silent in poetry writing,and the few writings(1957)were not of high artistic standards and lost the ability to cope with history.The best example of What Mudan accomplished after 1949 is the writing of 1975-1976."History" is presented as a posture of end,and the critique of history as a whole and essential with personal "reflexivity" writing has reached a mature late style.Other poems in later years reflect a tendency to return to "classical poetics",and historical contradictions can be temporarily obscured,but the tragedy of history is still suppressed behind them,and contradictions are difficult to balance.Mudan’s outstanding contribution is that he has effectively coped with the pressures and upheavals of history,establishing the multiple and complex connections between poetry writing and history.Since the birth of new poetry,it is not until Mudan that he has truly acquired the ability to express complex history and reality.There is literature of one era and one era,which is the driving force for the continuous progress of new poetry,and the only way to get rid of the anxiety of the influence of classical poetics and build its own legitimacy.Mudan’s poetry writing as a contemporary poet’s writing "intervenes" in reality is a good example. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Mudan poetry writing, Historical associations, Lyrical, self, Christian thought, witness, Reflexive | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
