Minimal surface refers to the surface with the smallest surface area within a given closed curve in space,that is,the surface with zero average curvature at any point on the surface.The research on it began with Prato's soap bubbles in the experiment,the curved surface of the soap bubble stretched in the closed wire satisfies this basic condition.Minimal surfaces involve related knowledge of topology,geometry,algebra,functional functions,physics and other disciplines.Its psychedelic modeling effect and excellent structural performance can enable it to be used in many scientific researches,and it is almost 20 years of computer graphics development has achieved very significant results,but due to the unique shape of the extremely small surface,it is still difficult to be practically applied in some structural spaces,so find out the design method of the extremely small surface and apply it Among the different spatial forms is the focus of the author's research,and then to summarize the generation principles of space categories and minimal surfaces,which is of great significance for the development of minimal surfaces and the improvement of application efficiency.The full text is based on the Rhino+Grasshopper parametric platform for exploration and research,mainly to find out the corresponding deformation tools and shape generation tools to assist the designer in the space art design of minimal surface modeling.The full text is mainly divided into three parts: The first part combines relevant cases to sort out and summarize the types of spaces that can be applied to minimal surfaces.The second part discusses the principle and application of parametric generation of extremely small surfaces.The third part is based on the actual project,based on a type of minimal surface form-finding to explore and research,and respectively give parameter generation algorithms,so that designers can really use these algorithms to improve the space modeling of minimal surfaces,and explore the whole In the process,we found deficiencies and provided solutions.
