"Ink Garden of the Cheng Family" is the research object of this article. This is a book printed in the Ming Dynasty Wanli. From the perspective of practitioners of traditional watermark woodcuts, the author looks for clues from different versions of Mo Yuan illustrations and examines the color printing problems of "Ink Garden of the Cheng Family".The first chapter of the thesis introduces the life of Cheng Junfang, the publisher of "Ink Garden of the Cheng Family" and his co-painters and woodcutters. In thesecond chapter,it is verified that "Ink Garden of the Cheng Family" is a single-color multi-color printing method through the problems of cross-color and misprints in theimage.Based on this, the third chapter demonstrates the use of examples of printing"faults" in the image, such as overprinting, lack of color, and waterlogging, todemonstrate that a single edition of multiple colors has been applied in the color prints of "Ink Garden of the Cheng Family".The application of this method makes the evolution of traditional Chinese printing history from single-plate printing to multi-plate printing more reasonable. |
