Radiation environment is an important part of the environment,and the level of aerosol radioactivity is also an important aspect of the quality of atmospheric environment.Atmospheric environment accompanies people’s breathing all the time and is closely related to public health.However,the public has little understanding of atmospheric environment radioactivity.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the level and characteristics of atmospheric aerosol radioactivity,especially under heavy pollution weather.Tianjin,as a typical large city in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,is deeply affected by the haze weather.This topic takes Tianjin as an example to optimize the experiment to determine the best measurement time and method,so as to meet the specific sampling period of directional samples for γ nuclide and total α,total βradioactivity unified measurement.Radioactivity levels were measured by collecting atmospheric aerosol samples for one consecutive year,and the radioactivity concentrations of mainly detected γ nuclides Be-7,Pb-210,Ra-226,K-40,total α and total β were found to be within the range of national aerosol radioactivity monitoring results,which belonged to the normal level.Combined with the correlation analysis of environmental air quality and meteorological conditions,the atmospheric aerosol radioactivity in Tianjin presents obvious seasonal characteristics,and the radioactivity level increases significantly in haze weather,which is positively correlated with the air pollution degree,and is affected by climate factors such as temperature,relative humidity,wet settlement and monsoon.The effective dose estimation is used to evaluate the health risk of aerosol radioactivity to the exposed public,the more serious the air pollution,the greater the health risk of atmospheric aerosol radioactivity to the exposed public.At the same time,the younger the age is,the greater the health risk the exposed public bears.Under the same air quality,the effective dose of atmospheric aerosol radioactivity to children is significantly higher than that of adults,about 10 times higher.Therefore,from the perspective of optimization of radiation protection,it is recommended that the public should minimize outdoor activities and direct contact time when the air quality is not good,especially in the case of heavy pollution such as haze.Parents should pay special attention to the protection of children.
