| Among all kinds of interpersonal communication, the communication between doctors and patients definitely the special one.Stimulated by special conditions, this temporary communication relationship may change from stability to conflict, then leading to malignant medical incidents, which have a extremely negative impact on society. In this special communication situation, the causes of doctor-patient conflict are very complicated, such as patient misunderstanding, doctor’s arrogance, hospital management level and so on.Instead of constructing a comprehensive theoretical framework to explain doctor-patient conflict, the paper tries to analyze the potential impact of patients’ attitude on doctor-patient communication from the perspective of interpersonal communication, hoping to forewarn and prevent potential doctor-patient conflict. This paper is divided into five parts. The first chapter introduces the research background, puts forward the research hypothesis, explains the research methods and Literature Review. The second chapter is a research design based on the analysis of the structure of doctor-patient communication. We mainly discuss the problem of doctor-patient communication from the perspective of the initial establishment of patients’attitude and the change of patients’ attitude. On this basis,a model of the relationship between doctor-patient communication and attitude was established. In the third chapter,we analyze the collected data and describe the patients’ expectation of patient-doctor communication.According to the results of empirical research,we can conclude that the different attitudes of patients have a significant impact on doctor-patient communication. In Chapter four,we construct the model of patient’s attitude influence mechanism in doctor-patient communication based on cognitive dissonance theory, identity management theory and interpersonal needs theory.According to this model, the optimization strategy and early warning mode of doctor-patient communication are put forward. The fifth chapter carries on the dialectical appraisal to this research, pointing out the future development space. With limited quality medical resources and selective media coverage, especially some from the media, the current doctor-patient tension in China has not been fundamentally reversed. From this point of view, this study has great value. In order to build a harmonious and good doctor-patient relationship, the doctor-patient dialogue and communication play a key role in addition to the improvement of hospital service level and doctor’s professional level. In the on-the-spot communication in the outpatient clinic, doctors can ease the patients’ physical and mental pain, change the patients’ hidden attitude and reduce the doctor-patient conflict to the minimum through good professional communication norms.Admittedly, the best case is that no one in the world is sick, thus there will be no communication between doctors and patients, let alone doctor-patient conflict. |
